“Mike The Headless Chicken Days”

A unique festival on a headless chicken. The native Fruita – Colorado assume it in different way. Celebration on Mike, a chicken whose head had cut off but amazingly stayed alive as its brain stalk was even there. It survived for 18 months headless! The festival includes Chicken Games, Recipe contest, Sprint resembling a Headless Chick, Chicken Dancing and other attractive games. Regularly celebrate on 18 and 19 May.

“El Colacho”

This festival, commenced on June 8-9 in Calacho-Spain, known as Baby Jumping Fiesta and has been established since 1620. Grown-up male leap over newborn infants to take out evil soul from them. They put on outfit like matador or Elvis. Moreover viewers are made to take part in the occasion, therefore do not take your babies along.

“Pulilan Carabao”

This ‘carabaos’ or ‘water buffalo’ festival is held on 14 and 15 May in Bulacan-Philippines, where water buffalo are shaven, greased, scented, adorned and flaunted roundabouts town. Decent compliments to these reliable animals.

“Monkey Buffet”

It is an all you can eat monkey party. The November celebration, that goes on in Pra Prang Sam Yot Temple in Lopburi-Thailand. All monkeys in the province are fed an enormous fruit and vegetable buffets, accordance to pay tribute to Rama, who is uttered to have gifted the said province to Hanuman, Monkey King of the epic.        

“Wisconsin State Chip Throw”

A unique festival where you can see manures are thrown. Imagine that! The people of Praire du Sac-Wisconsin expend the weekend on Labor Day throwing dried out dung.

“Testicle Fest”

It seems nasty, isn’t it? No children allowable. Only the 21 and above age of Clinton-Montana inhabitants slurp lots of beer and crunch Rocky Mountain Oysters.  This is merely an improved name for well-done fried bull’s testicles. Amazingly the contestants will also stake on when the buffalo is going to poop. This Testicle Festival is held on 1 until 5 August.

Those are pretty odd celebrations. People take pleasure in, even if, it sounds ridiculous. But it is very interesting to see. Do you have any festivals in your neighborhood that sounds strange?
